Email and text preferences
What we send, what you had to agree to first, and how to turn any of it off in one step.
Two different kinds of message
Transactional messages are about something you started: a booking confirmation, a shipping notice, a question about your vehicle, a revision to your calibration. You cannot unsubscribe from these while an order or a booking is open, because they are how the work gets done.
Marketing messages are everything else. You only receive those if you opted in, and one click stops them without affecting anything transactional.
Buying something does not opt you in
Placing an order, asking a fitment question or saving a build subscribes you to nothing. The only way onto our marketing list is to tick the sign-up box yourself, and it is never pre-ticked.
When you do tick it, we record the exact sentence you were shown, which version of that wording it was, the page you were on and the moment you ticked. If you ever want to know what you agreed to, we can show you rather than paraphrase it.
Text messages
Someone from the shop may text you about your vehicle or your order — a question about a datalog, a photo of something we found, confirmation that a module arrived. That is a person on the end of it, not an automated programme, and you can reply to it like any other conversation. Tell them to stop and it stops.
Automated messaging is a different thing, and we are registering it with the carriers before any of it is switched on. When it starts, the only route onto it is that you asked for it on a form. Giving us a number so we could call you about a tune is not that, and it will never be treated as that.
Our email sign-up does not ask for a phone number, and ticking it signs you up for email only. Agreeing to be emailed is not agreeing to be texted, and we keep the two records separate so neither can be read as the other.
Whichever kind of message it is, STOP works on it, and so does simply saying so — call the shop on (951) 405-4465 or use the contact page. You will never have to find the right word to be left alone.
Stopping marketing email
Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link at the foot, and it works immediately. Alternatively call the shop on (951) 405-4465 or use the contact page and we will action it — you do not have to find the right link to be left alone.
Unsubscribing removes you from marketing only. If you have an open order, you will still get the emails that tell you what is happening with it.
What you can expect if you are on the list
A few emails a month at most: platforms we have added, dyno sheets with the ambient conditions visible, and what we learned doing the work. We do not sell or share your address with anyone.
