IMPORTANT - ASSUMPTION OF RISK & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I understand that dyno testing, custom or remote tuning, ECU/TCU flashing, datalogging, road testing, performance modification, and related services can place substantial stress on a vehicle and can expose, accelerate, or cause mechanical, electrical, drivetrain, tire/wheel, module/ECU, or other failures, including catastrophic failure, property damage, fire, loss of use, injury, or death. I represent that I own the vehicle or am authorized by its owner, have disclosed known defects and modifications, and voluntarily assume these risks.

For remote tuning, I accept the risks of inaccurate information, hardware/software incompatibility, interrupted flashing, communication or power loss, ECU/TCU corruption or “bricking,” recovery/towing costs, and Customer-controlled datalogging. I will operate and test the vehicle only safely and lawfully.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, I RELEASE AND WAIVE CLAIMS AGAINST FASTUTV LLC D/B/A DEFI MOTORSPORTS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, TUNERS, TECHNICIANS, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND INSURERS ARISING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF THE SERVICES OR THEIR ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE IN PERFORMING THE AUTHORIZED SERVICES.

I understand that DEFI does not guarantee horsepower, reliability, component life, drivability, emissions compliance, warranty coverage, or any particular result. I am responsible for legal/emissions compliance and for stopping vehicle operation if warning signs or abnormal conditions occur. This release does not waive liability or rights that applicable law does not permit to be waived. I have reviewed and agree to the full DEFI Motorsports Dyno Testing, Tuning & Performance Services Agreement, which is incorporated into this purchase/authorization.

Workshop detail at DEFI Motorsports

The problems that hide from a scan tool

A misfire at 20 psi, a fuel system that falls over in fourth gear, knock that only arrives with heat soak, a boost controller that will not hold — none of these show themselves in a parking lot. On the dyno we can hold the engine at the exact load and RPM where the fault lives and watch it happen.

  • Fuel delivery under sustained load
  • Knock and heat-soak behavior
  • Boost control and wastegate authority
  • Drivability, transitions and torque management

Systems we can read

Factory engine controllers through HP Tuners, and standalone management from Holley EFI, MoTeC, Link ECU, Haltech, FuelTech, Emtron and ProEFI. If your car is running something else, call before you book — we will tell you honestly whether we can log it properly, because a diagnosis built on a partial datalog is worth nothing.

What you get

A diagnosis with the data that supports it, and a straight answer about what it will take to fix. If the fix is mechanical rather than calibration, we will tell you that, even though it means we are not the ones selling you the solution.

What is included

  • Dyno time under diagnostic load
  • Full datalog capture
  • Written findings with supporting data

What to bring

  • The vehicle in the condition where the fault occurs
  • Any codes or logs you already have

What can be added, and what it costs

  • Additional dyno time$350 per hourCharged in hour blocks when a session runs past its booking.
  • Ignite Racing Fuel$80 per 5-gallon pailSupplied at the shop when the calibration calls for a fuel you did not arrive on.
  • Wideband monitoringIncludedExternal wideband on every session. Not an upsell — it is how the car is kept safe.

Common questions

Can you fix what you find?
Calibration faults, yes. Mechanical work depends on the job — we will tell you plainly if it is outside what we do rather than attempting it.
