Superchargers
Kits we sell, fit and tune. Every product page states what is in the box, what is not, and what the kit does to emissions compliance. A supercharger needs a calibration before the car is driven, and we write it on our hub dyno.
Neither kit carries a CARB Executive Order: they are built for engine swaps and competition, not for a pollution-controlled vehicle registered in California. Fitting and tuning are quoted against the car. Dyno tuning in Corona
Before you buy
Two Magnuson Hot Rod kits, both built around Eaton TVS rotors with an integrated intercooler: the TVS2300 for the LS3 and the Magnum TVS2650 for the Gen V LT1/LT4 on a Camaro accessory drive.
A supercharger needs a calibration before the car is driven. We write it on our hub dyno, and every product page lists what is in the box and what is not, before you order.
Questions before you buy
- Does a supercharger need a tune?
- Yes. Neither kit ships with a calibration, and an uncalibrated full-throttle pull on a supercharged engine is how engines get hurt — so budget the tune as part of the job. We write it on the dyno.
- Is a supercharger kit smog legal?
- No. Magnuson publishes no CARB Executive Order for the Hot Rod manifold. It is built for engine swaps and competition, not for a pollution-controlled vehicle registered in California.
- Do you ship superchargers?
- Yes, free in the continental US, with nothing added at checkout. Alaska, Hawaii and the territories are quoted by phone.
