Haltech Nexus and Elite ECUs

From the Nexus Rebel LS kits to the Nexus R5 vehicle control unit, which replaces the ECU, power distribution and data logger in one box.

About Haltech

Haltech here runs from the Nexus Rebel LS kits — an ECU with a terminated harness for a Gen III cable-throttle or Gen IV drive-by-wire LS — through the Elite 2500 and the Nexus S3, to the Nexus R3 and R5.

The R3 and R5 are vehicle control units: the ECU, the power distribution module and the data logger in one box, which is why race cars and full rewires are built around them.

Questions before you buy

What is the difference between a Haltech ECU and a VCU?
An ECU runs the engine. A Nexus VCU runs the engine and also replaces the fuse and relay box with programmable power outputs and logs the car, so one unit does the job of three.
Is DEFI an authorised Haltech dealer?
Yes. Every Haltech unit here is sold at the price authorised dealers advertise, stocked in Corona, CA, and shipped free in the continental US. Alaska and Hawaii are quoted by phone.
Can you install and tune a Haltech ECU?
Yes. We install, wire and calibrate Haltech engine management in our Corona shop and tune it on a Mainline ProHub hub dyno, with the full sheet at the end. Shop labor is quoted against your car.
Can I return a Haltech ECU?
No. There are no returns or exchanges on third-party hardware once it ships, and the manufacturer’s warranty is the warranty. Call before you order if you are not sure which unit fits.
