The worst time to discover your tuner does not answer is 4 PM on a Saturday with the car down in the pits. Track support is a calibrator’s time, bought in advance, so somebody who knows your car is there when it matters.
What you are buying
Access to the people who tune the car, when you need them. Something starts running badly, a sensor drops out, the car is down on boost at altitude, or you have fitted a part and need it accounted for. You call, send the log, and we work it.
It is bought as a bank of hours and drawn down when you call, billed in whole hours. Book the day in advance and someone is watching the phone for it.
Two ways it works
On a DEFI RTD4, you log from your phone and upload it; we read it, and where the fix is calibration, the revision comes back to the same device and you write it in the pits. No laptop.
On a standalone ECU, or with your own laptop and interface, we can connect remotely and work on the car live over a decent cell connection — watching the data while it is driven.
Any platform we tune
Track support is not only for HP Tuners cars.
- HP Tuners on an RTD4, or your own interface and laptop
- Holley, Link, Haltech and Emtron standalones
- Datalog review, sensor faults, fuel and boost changes
- Revisions sent back where they are safe to make
What it is not
It is not a promise to answer at any hour; when you book, we tell you the hours we are covering. And it is not a licence to tune around a broken part — when the data says mechanical, we say so, and the time is spent finding that out.
Questions people ask
- Do I need to have been tuned by DEFI?
- Not for a log review or a diagnosis. To send a revision back to the car, we need to be the tuner on it.
- How is time billed?
- In whole hours from your bank. A 48-minute job is an hour, and the rest of the bank is there for the next call.
- Does it work for drift and drag cars?
- Yes — anything we tune, on HP Tuners or the standalones we support. Tell us the event dates when you buy the bank.
