Reading the result

Five hundred and twenty-one horsepower and five hundred and twenty-five pound-feet, measured at the hubs after calibration. That is the whole verified record for this car.

No before figure was recorded, which means no gain can be stated. It would be easy to subtract a published factory number and print a difference, and that difference would be fiction: a crank rating from a manufacturer and a hub measurement from our dyno are two different quantities taken by two different methods, and the gap between them is drivetrain loss, not tuning.

What the number does support is a comparison against the later LT4 cars on this page and against the LSA above it. Same displacement, same manufacturer, different supercharger and different cylinder heads — and roughly forty horsepower and eighty-five pound-feet between them, measured the same way on the same equipment. That comparison is only meaningful because the method did not change.

If this car comes back for a baseline pull we will publish it and the gain alongside it.

What this cost

A cold air intake on a supercharged engine is a small change. Most of what is on this sheet is calibration, and calibration on 91 octane is bounded by knock margin the same way the 2013 car is.

The ambient conditions and correction standard for this session have not been published alongside the figures. We are collecting the original sheets — until they are here, treat these as the shop's recorded numbers rather than as fully documented runs, and read how we measure for why that distinction matters.
